Elizabethtown 22 Louisville Holy Cross 7

Final

Tanner threw for 2 TD and 2 INT. Tanner was 20-of-33 for 289 yards and completed passes to eight different receivers. Tanner is the first quarterback from this area (maybe one of the first in the state) to go over 1,000 yards.

Holy Cross is 0-3. Do they start talking coaching change? Weston is a good coach but the HC faithful are not a patient brood.

No. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Holy Cross wins its next seven games and advances to at least the third round of the playoffs.

No need to panic just yet. HC played some pretty good teams in South Oldham, which just lost its first game tonight, and Pikeville, which is now 3-0.

I think that's probably a fair analysis.

I havent seen a Lone Oak score, but odds are the kid out there will be the passing leader after this week.

Lone Oak was off this week.

They should have never gotten rid of Coach Reidinger

There are several teams that are 0-3 that I believe will finish strong as the season continues. I can see Holy Cross really revamping itself through the season into the playoffs.

I don't see it. HC has been drifting downward since Coach Reidinger was released. That, combined with an enrollment drop, has been problematic. A pity, really, because HC is an excellent school with a lot of good people involved.

All I'm saying is look at who HC has played so far, and then look at who's left: Caverna, Beth Haven, DeSales, Bethlehem, KCD, Butler and Doss, who are a combined 4-17 so far. KCD has the most wins (2-1) of the bunch, but they've struggled against Eminence and Beth Haven. I really don't see anyone challenging HC as it plays out right now, but I could be proven wrong.

Excellent post ... I have some personnel experience with this and Reidinger was let go because of politics rather than performance. IMHO the team would have a title banner hanging from the last 3 years if Coach Ray was still around. Discipline on the team left with Coach Ray.
