I will say this E.J. Fields is the real deal...I think his picture should be beside the word speed in websters famous book...seemed to me that after Frankfort had a comfortable lead they tried some different things on offense or the score could have been a whole lot worse...The Bridgewater kid looks like a great back but he doesent cut very well and they had him trying to run the sweep on Frankfort's speedy D.....I think he needs to run off takle and punish people with his size... But I really think this is not the end of the world for C-ville they ran into a buzzsaw...24 for C-ville made plays from the begining to the end for them...Very hardnosed player, he came up gimmpy in the second half and very well could have stayed out but no he came right back....Great game for him..

Frankkfort made to many mistakes on the offensive side of the ball in the second quarter. Game could have ben worse. Fields had 8 carries for 271 yards. FHS rushed for 500 yards tonight.

Jordan Morgan led the defense to night. He was everywhere.

 

C-villes Bridgewater was a disapointment. He didn't want the ball. He was held to 41 yards. @ 22 of those yards came on the last play vs the JV.

Trimble returns a bunch of kids. They have IMO one of the best backs in the state in Bird. Coach Poynter will have his team ready when they come to town to take on the Panthers.

No one in FHS district can play with them, Trimble might be the only team that can keep it respectable but they will never beat FHS.

If this si the same Coach Poynter who caoched Pike Central (and I am pretty sure it is), he has always struggled at shutting down option running teams. His Pike Central teams were usually blown out by halftime against Belfry, maybe he has better personnel now to utilize though.
