Nets
I was driving by Prestonsburg's field last week and wondered how much $$$ was spent on bleachers, field, etc. It' a nice upgrade and looks great.:ylsuper: How was it funded? Did they make a new fieldhouse or have visitor's lockers as well??

spe690
I don't know how much they spent, but they are trying to raise enough money to put turf down on the field now.
Coachg13207
If they have upgraded so much ,why are they playing games at Morehead St.U.?
Booge
If they have upgraded so much ,why are they playing games at Morehead St.U.? Is that a serious question? If it is, I'll let the P'burg faithful answer it. However; I don't think playing a game at Morehead is any reflection on P'burg's facilities, which are very good. Nets
I think Morgan Co. obviously would be interested in upgrading their facilities. When? Good question....but just wondered how some funds were secured for these upgrades. I think Prestonsburg's would be suitable for the type of upgrade needed at Morgan Co. Perhaps they could model after the Blackcats.
STRIKE3
I believe the City of Prestonsburg, Bingo, private donations and school system, have all helped. Along with the efforts of coaches, parents and business leaders.

Bingo is a great way to get money, golf scrambles, spirit cards not to mention a ton of other ways that money can be raised. Don't be afraid to get a plan, take action and get support from the administration and community and things will be easier. Good luck in West Liberty NETS:thumb:
Nets
Thanks guys... The Commercial Bank of West Liberty is a HUGE athletic supporter of MCHS athletics. The things they have done and continue to do is much appreciated. West Liberty has good community resources.
oneijoe
I believe the City of Prestonsburg, Bingo, private donations and school system, have all helped. Along with the efforts of coaches, parents and business leaders. Put "school system" in very small font and make them last in the support list and you're on the mark. As long as I remember, the P-burg tax base has paid much more into the county system than $$ coming back into the city's schools. P-burg supports its schools like few other cities do. If only PHS, Adams, and PES were independent of the county system... !!! :sssh:
oneijoe
If they have upgraded so much ,why are they playing games at Morehead St.U.? As far as I know, the only game Prestonsburg plays at Morehead State is the game against Beechwood. Maybe Beechwood has been designated as "away" on a schedule (you've seen) and you inferred the rest ?!?
