I do think UC could be a good fit for him. They seem to have a lot of energy around the program with the new coach and I believe that he is from PA so it would be fairly close to home.

June 26, 200719 yr Not knocking the UC or UConn programs, but why would a kid that was a 4-star going to ND want to go to one of those programs? Wouldn't he be able to attract attention from some of the bigger guys, or is it mainly about immediate PT?

Brian Kelly's system is very attractive to QB prospects, and the new staff has brought an energy to the UC program that has never been seen before. UC football is on a big upswing and it's showing in recruiting faster than expected. As for UConn they recruited him hard in HS, and that has allowed them to get in the mix quickly. I can't imagine he picks the Huskies unless he developed a great relationship with them long ago...

The situation with UL is different. We didn't get highly ranked recruits until Bush/Brohm. And even then, they were hometown boys. I couldn't figure out why this kid from ND was looking at UL either, so don't take it as slight. I just want to know, that's all.

Kelly's version of the spread offense and his vision for the future has recruits lining up quick. Talking to him as much as I do, it's easy to see why kids want to be a part of his program. He's very detail oriented and a great salesman for what he wants the program to be. Case in point UC has NEVER had much success getting recruits to verbal in the summer and Kelly already has 11 for the 08 class. Hard to grasp but fun to watch...

You're still being defensive! :lol: I have 0 problem with UC, or the fact that this kid may choose UC. I will ask again, however: "What's his major"? If the answer is football, then so be it. I was wondering if he had an academic major too.
