I would like to see Rich Prewitt with the job at Whitley, he knows the kids and also knows how things work at Whitley County behind the scenes.

Rich is a good man and would do well with the program, but I can't see him taking it on.

I would offer it to one of the assistants. Either Siler or Baker would make a good coach and might be able to continue what Coach Deaton had started building. Not sure if they would be interested at all, but this is who I would start with if I were calling the shots. What do you think Ace?

 

Baker would seem to be a good choice. He had some success as a head coach while at Breathitt Co.(not sure what went wrong there)and has more experience than Siler, who may be better connected though.

Rich Prewitt would be a great coach for the Colonel program. He does know the kids extremely well, especially with him being a principal in the system(Maybe Middle School) not real sure there. Plus he has been at Whitley before and had probably the best team Whitley has ever had IMO. The A.D. at Whitley should def. go for Prewitt.

I would say the AD will have several important people helping him make the selection. Since the job has now been offically announced open, I would think they will see who applies beforing making the deciscion. Of course, from reading the paper, it seems like Baker is the front runner and has stated he would put his name in the hat. Who else has applied as of now?
