June 6, 200719 yr Sometimes you check out a movie based on the fact that it has done well at the box-office or based on friends' recommendations, but for whatever reason you personally didn't like it. Some popular movies that I just didn't like are: Oceans 11 Mr & Mrs Smith Pirates of the Caribbean II & III (I was very good) Shampoo Chariots of Fire (awful awful awful) Sleepless in Seattle 3 Days of the Condor Harold and Maude The Bourne Identity The Bourne Supremacy
June 6, 200719 yr I loved Oceans 11 and the Bourne Identity. I hated Supertroopers, American Beauty, Me Myself & Irene, all of which have become cult classics.
June 6, 200719 yr I originally thought "Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure" was the stupidest thing I'd ever seen, but as time has passed I've got a much greater appreciation for its brilliance. I patently refuse, however, to ever watch "Titanic." It was a boat wreck, not a love story.
June 6, 200719 yr I can't stand the Matrix movies (there is 3, right?). Somebody got me the first one for a gift years ago and it has never been opened......
June 6, 200719 yr Yeah, that's blasphemy, IMO. I agree. Anyone who does not like Pulp Fiction or The Usual Suspects needs to be shot at dawn.
June 6, 200719 yr I can't stand the Matrix movies (there is 3, right?). Somebody got me the first one for a gift years ago and it has never been opened...... Do you want to give them away? I have got 4 or 5 dollars I can send you to help cover shipping.
June 6, 200719 yr I decided to look through this list of the top 100 films according to Time magazine. Give me something to go on since I have watched way too many overrated/bad movies IMO. http://www.time.com/time/2005/100movies/the_complete_list.html City of God was a good movie, but I didn't think it was anything special. It's a Brazilian version of Menace II Society. Sorry Lord of the Rings doesn't belong on ANY top list. I don't care how great the achievement was. I know I'm probably in the minority on that. I will throw another current film here, what was so special about the recent movie "Wild Hogs" just looks absolutely awful.
June 6, 200719 yr Author Pulp Fiction = Worst movie EVER made!! Posts such as this make me regret having started this thread.
June 6, 200719 yr As long as everyone here agrees that the Scooby Doo and Garfield movies were truly artistic achievements that can't be beat. That's all that matters.
