You could not have asked for a better day than what it was Saturday for a June track meet for AA. I proudly wore my BluegrassPreps.com t-shirt Friday at the state meet. Looking forward now to next season.

Rockcastle County 6th grader Michaela Hunter won the 1600 meter run in Class AA....she shaved something like 17 seconds off her fastest qualifying time in the finals.

AA looked very weak this year. PT even looked like they were down and they didn't dominate like they have in the past.

Scott County Boy's Track Team also gave the traditional powerhouses of Louisville and Western Kentucky a strong run "for thier money" as they placed third with only seven athletes in the meet.

They where sitting in the upper deck towards the finish line. Myself... my nerves was way out of hand to sit, I was paceing around with my camera.

Yup - we (Mason County) were in the lower part of the upper deck close to the finish.

 

Just how many Morgans does BC have, anyway? Seems like I've been watching them run for a long time.

After this years state meet, there is no more. I must say that the Morgans are one heck of a running family with all 3 running after high school. (George Washington, Furman, and now Centre College)
