Just because Franklin won these two individual games doesnt neccessarily mean a thing. So what is your point Thorobred?

Personally I think Highlands hurt themselves by not scheduling much tougher teams. I did write dirtycleats and told him that HHS was a very good team, but.....when you don't play anybody out of NKy it's tough to get any respect state wide. Ask your football coach why he plays such a tough schedule. I think the HHS coaches will start to schedule some better teams out of the NKy area, then you will see them move up in the rankings.....

I thought St X (OH) and Milford OH were out of the NKY area. Maybe I'm wrong. Oh BTW the Birds beat those teams.

Milford and Cin St. X are of course in the Greater Cincinnati, NKy area and you know that sir. What I was referring to was HHS not playing any Lexington, Louisville or teams from not farther than twenty miles from Ft. Thomas, Kentucky...

You are not going to get any respect from downstate coaches or for that matter fans if you don't play the down state teams. While I will give you a huge pat on the back for beating Cin St. X, you have to play teams downstate to gain the respect of the downstate voters....

While HHS has a huge and outstanding reputation for winning in football, in baseball HHS is just isn't a big name down state, yet.....

My point is, those games were actually close whereas Harrison mercy ruled Franklin in 5 innings.

Do you have any idea as to what the pitching matchup was on that particular day? Not taking anything away from Harrison County because I am sure they were probably the better team that day, but my point is it looks like to me FC had a pretty tough week leading up to that game against W.Jess. Lex Cath. Central Hardin and then Harrison County all in a 3 day period.

DISAPPOINTMENTS: Out of the tournament from the Dirty Cleats top 50

1. Owensboro Catholic Rated #5 in coaches poll and #17 in Cleats poll. 2 years in a row (must be over rated) and just what is UofL getting with 3 DI recruits when they cannot even make it out of district.

2. Paintsville #14 coaches #9 Cleats Should have dominated.

3. Russellville #23 coaches poll #44 cleats another disappointment

4. Campbell County #43 coaches #50 cleats lost to Scott.

5. Scott County #50 coaches #45 cleats, game with Bryan Station could have gone either way.

6. Louisville Manual #33 coaches #30 cleats, tough matchup first round district.

7. Lexington Christian #17 coaches #28 cleats, Played and lost against #1 Lex Catholic, not a disappointment, just tough luck with tough district.

8. Lexington Tates Creek #9 coaches, #3 cleats, played third toughest schedule in the state and went into districts having to play #2 Dunbar. Was in it all the way winning 1-0 in 6th inning and lost on a grand slam homer 4-1 with two outs. Very tough loss.

^ Your number one says alot about the recruiting at U of L. That hurts....

How are ryle and cov cath not higher? And how is scott not even in the top 50?

Hey Cleats - Clarify some thing for me, I don't have time to go check the KHSAA website. By saying "Out of Tournament" are you saying these teams are no longer in the State Championship race?
