May 29, 200719 yr Good luck H20. Thanks. I've got a few options I'm considering at this point, just not sure which I would like to, or will be able to pursue. I would possibly like to work for the Lexington Police Department, or possibly KSP or KVE. Any suggestions or things you've heard about any of those departments that you like/dislike? Like I said earlier, I have about a year and a half before I graduate. I'm not even 21 yet, so applying for any job at this point would be pointless. I do have over 62 hours in college (I'm at 80 right now) but I definitely want to finish school before getting in to work.
May 30, 200719 yr We have had several guys leave Lexington Metro and come to our PD. They all say the grass is much greener on this side of the fence. KSP is a fine department but you are on your own in most cases and that is very dangerous. KVE is not my cup of tea. I would look at some medium to large city departments around KY and see what you turn up.

June 1, 200719 yr Impossible question to answer. If you are interested in an area you need to apply at every PD in that area. I'm interested in a lot of areas at this point. I'm open to living/working almost anywhere in the state, possibly even out of state if I found a better job out of state.
