Morgan County is once again looking for a head football coach. After verbally accepting the position a few weeks ago, Steve Hollon has elected to not accept the position of head football coach at Morgan County H.S.

Morgan County is a class AA football school and has enjoyed recent success in the last three years. They are in a new 4 team district with Prestonsburg, Shelby Valley, and Bath County.

What about the canidates that had applied eariler, are they still interested?

Hey Nets, love the new avatar.!!

Nets may be adding to the avatar any day now as well!!

Also, that picture of her was taken by photographer in Winchester, Gold Sunrise.

I suspect that the even though the program has had some recent success, that the administration and $$ for football is still nowhere to be found.

Let us know when the new one arrives.:ylsuper: Avatar picture is still my "little princess".

Nets, can you give us any clue to who has applied?

Thanks Gold!

I really hope that they fill this position soon so the kids can begin to prepare for the upcoming season.

Morgan County has had success through the years and turned out some great kids. I am sure that we will see them back in the thick of things once again.

I heard a few people talk about this guy, saying he wanted to come in and make a change and a strong one. I am not sure why he decided to stay at Perry Central as Defensive Coordinator. Sometimes you can't walk into a land mine and have things easily, it comes from wanting to work and having the players buy into your philosophy.

I hate this for the kids and community of Morgan County. I hope you land a quality person and coach soon.

I heard Holland (sp?) wasn't coming because of trivial reasons...not making it to clear on why he didn't want to make the move to West Liberty. If he expects to get a head coaching after this, he can forget about it. Good luck to Morgan and their head coaching search.

I agree. I know things happen for coaches to leave jobs for others, but to become a head coach and simply turn it down after two weeks, this man didn't do his research of the move.

I'm also glad he left because if he isn't going to be 100% into it as a Head Coach, he shouldn't be there anyway. The kids would have suffered:irked:
