If you're not going to hire the guy, then why take the time to interview him? What would that accomplish?

 

You interview him out of respect to a former MSU player and alumnus. Also, because 90% of the town was rooting for Thomas to get the job. Lastly, because its just the right thing to do.

 

Don't get me wrong, this new guy has a pretty good sounding resume and alot of experience so I'm not saying they made a bad hire. I'm just saying I would've handled it differently. Again, just my opinion.

I was rooting for him 100%, but if he wasn't in the final cut I don't see a point in interviewing him. I do feel he was deserving of a phone call at the least. Coach T is a good man and he would have accepted what their decision was with class because that is how he is. I like you feel it should had been handled differently but not necessarily an interview.

 

The 90% statement is not what I would consider something to validate an interview.
