cshs81 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 CCH's Josh Bleser threw a no-hitter today against Scott in the first game of the Doc Morris tourney. I believe that's the first no-hitter for CCH in about 8 or 9 years. Congratulations to Mr. Bleser.
BaseballIsLife Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 This is not correct. Drew Castlemen had an infield single on the right side and that was the only hit of the game.

Diamond Dandy Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Who was the official score keeper, tourney director or home team?
BaseballIsLife Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Interesting. I wonder how CCH scored that play. What was the situation (runners, outs, etc) on Castlemen's at-bat? At the time, no runners were on base, I believe either no or 1 out. Soft ball was hit to the right side where the 2nd basemen had to make a play in the outfield. He got the ball and threw the ball falling away toward 1st Base. Either Bleser or Isler (whoever was covering first at the time) didn't catch the ball but Castlemen had already beat out the throw.

The ball was deflected off the first baseman, slowing it down for the second basemen to get the ball and throw it to Josh covering first base. Not sure how it was ruled.
Theoldguy Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Wow thats Boone County, Cov Holmes, and then Scott (Kenton Co) getting no runs off the CovCath pitching staff. :thumb: What did the Colonels do in the second game of the day? Long, long day for all of us:confused: ...... glad it is over..... :ylsuper: :thumb: Go Racers......
BaseballIsLife Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 It was ruled an error I'm still gonna have to disagree with that but anyway....... Great game by Mr. Bleser and hope he continues to play well through the rest of the season

Theoldguy Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 They beat Conner 6-0. Alex Smith pitched the entire game. Not a bad week for the Colonels pitching staff against other NKy teams. Four Shutouts in a row.....
cshs81 Posted April 22, 2007 Author Posted April 22, 2007 They beat Conner 6-0. Alex Smith pitched the entire game. Did Conner have their full complement of starters? I know the JRs and SRs on the Conner softball team missed their tourney game today due to it being prom night.
Theoldguy Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 While I didn't attend this game, I did attend the first CovCath vs. Conner game where CovCath won 5-0, so I don't think it mattered one way or the other.. cshs81, as you well know, no guy needs all the hours that the young ladies do, to get ready for the prom. Shower, shave, and your ready....
