Mama's Baby Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 K I wanna know who you people think the best returning defensive backs are. List one or two from each region if you want. The reason I want to know about these regions is because its where I mostly see football being played at. So voice your opinions and let us know who ya think is a top corner or safety
pallex32 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I think that Breathitt County has two good ones. Huston Noble and Alex Strong. Noble played rover last year and was excilent at the position, he will adjust quickly to corner. Strong played well last year for the Bobcats. He had about 5 INT and many huge broke up passes. These two will be great by the time the season roles around.
NCBIRD Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I know the position is new for him this year but I think Clay Cecil, HHS will have a major impact at safety if given the opportunity to play defense.
DMZ76 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Drew Bathiany SHOULD be going into his 3rd yr. as a D-back for HHS. Injuries will tell if he plays/or settles into a strictly kicking role. (no Spring action). Not many have had 3 yrs. as a starting d-back at HHS.
DMZ76 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 ...and if Drew Simons plays back there, then you have a "Jack Tatum-type" ASSASIN awaiting recievers!

Red Heat Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 EJ Dettmer should be a top DB in NKY this year . Dettmer is a 3yr starter for Dixie ! Also I'll go with Molony when he get's to play " D " . He runs the ball alot , so he's not out there all the time . :thumb:

Coachg13207 Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Nick Kaiser from Boone Co. Not the fastest kid on the field ,but great instincts and hard -nosed
vintage Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Jayce Jordan from Conner. All conference and lead NKY 4A in interceptions last year as a sophomore. Great nose for the ball and he can fly.
Brewsky Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Watch for the emergence of #7 from Belfry next season - Soph to be Lovern. He will likely play corner.
mountainmojo68 Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Josh Mullins and Houston Mcanallen CBs for Pikeville. Good speed in coverage and both are agressive against the run. Chaz Jackson is a safety hes a good one as well.
nomorenoles Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 The Cole from Somerset plays on the D side also. His speed alone makes him a good D back.
The Juggernaut Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Sean Russell and Roger Herthel from Lloyd. They are both going to be juniors and they are super fast.
