Wireman Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 He was really big coming out of college and then kind of exploded onto the pro scene with a tourney win... After that he pulled out of a few tourneys and his career pretty much splattered. Anyone know whatever happened to probably the best UK golfer ever?

benihanas Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 And you're accusing his mind of being in the gutter...
Wireman Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Come on guys, seriously - what happened to Holmes? Is he still on the pro tour or what?
LRCW Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Come on guys, seriously - what happened to Holmes? Is he still on the pro tour or what? I would do some research, but I'm afraid to google the name here at work.
Wireman Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 I would do some research, but I'm afraid to google the name here at work. LOL, probably a good call. Let me see what I can find.
youknowme Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Try J.B. Holmes. "He tied for tenth in his first PGA Tour start at the 2006 Sony Open in Hawaii and in February that year he won the FBR Open, making him the fastest golfer to reach $1,000,000 in career earnings on the PGA Tour. It was his fifth tournament as a professional and his fourth on the PGA Tour."
Pancake Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I would do some research, but I'm afraid to google the name here at work. I know I would not do it at school. "But I swear I was looking for a golfer!"
Wireman Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 A Google search came up with a long list of results, but luckily not all of them were for the more famous John Holmes. Here is a link to his 2007 season: http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/players/profile?playerId=1067 I would be happy with his annual earnings thus far (especially since its April!)...
Wireman Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 For some reason, I was thinking he was no longer on the tour. I am glad to see that he's actually doing quite well.
