Fall Out Boy

Any fans out there? I never really liked that sort of music until them and now it seems I love every song they have.

Not a fan...

...but I will probably end up at one of their concerts.

I love them. There songs are really good and get the crowd energy going when we play them at a few NKU events such as soccer, baseball and softball.

This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race is my favorite right now besides the song I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me. The song titles are hilarious as can be. LOL.

Well maybe I should actually go to a few NKU events lol because I love their new album. I think their new album is thicker, I guess you could say and the singer isn't as whiny as their old cd's. Lyrics are confusing, but thats expected.

Not too impressive.

Try PANTERA!:fire:

Walk is still one of the greatest metal songs ever recorded. I still listen to that from time to time.

Not a big fan of Fall out Boy, Good Charlotte and about 212 other bands that sound the same.

BUT if I had a choice between them and Faith Hill, I would choose Fall Out Boy everytime.

Walk

That's a GREAT between innings song for baseball and softball....LOL. I'll probably be playing it at one of the softball games this weekend. LOL.

Very nice choice. lol

Very sad what happened to DimeBag at that small club in Ohio. I guess the good thing is, he left behind quite a legacy of music.

It's sad and annoying that many of the above posters write them off because they are on the radio, instead of listening to their albums. I guess since they aren't "underground" or "hardcore" they can't be good.

As for my experience with this particular band (rather than group them in the commonly mislabeled "emo" subsection), they are incredibly catchy but I have found that after a few times through the album it becomes annoying and redundant to listen to. Not bad for every once in a while if you are in the right mood.

Feel free to call me a poser or sell-out. :thumb:

I merely write them off because they were only signed because they sound like what is "hot" today.

They are just another of many countless disposable bands that have nothing to offer. I'm not saying every band has to have deep meaning and purpose in life, but I would like something somewhat challenging. They just need to leave whatever corporate sponsered tour they are currently on, check themselves into rehab and find whatever day job laundry mat they crawled out from.

So let me get this straight. It is unacceptable for one to like music just because other people do. Therefore, isn't it also wrong to dislike a band JUST because other people do?

I can't think of any acceptable reason to write a band off before thoroughly giving them a chance.

My brain is hurting, trying to figure out the top part. I will agree with you, if people don't like band ABC because they are on radio or MTV that is their opinion and I won't necessarily agree with it. Not liking a band because a lot of people don't like them either, I don't agree with that.

I am very picky when it comes to music and there is stuff I listen to that I know people would not agree with. I'm fine with that, I was merely stating my opinion on this particular band and the many that sound just like them.

I don't dislike them because they are on radio, mtv, letterman, leno, carson daly or whatever they might on this week. I dislike them because they do nothing for me.

I write them off because I think their music is bad... Nothing more, nothing less.
