Just like I expected. I was extremely impressed by Brossarts effort. Excellent game plan coming in for Brossart and their girls laid it all on the line tonight. They seemed to be very well coached and very disciplined. Congrats to Mason County, I hope to see all the Royal fans in Mt. Sterling tomorrow night.:thumb:

Brossart hung in there, but Mason Co. will lose tomorrow if they come out and play like they have during the past 2 region games, and even the district games.

I too thought Brossart played a smart game up until the final 2 minutes. Why are you shooting 3's with the lead when you only made one all night and Henke and Butsch were having their way on the inside? Basketball I.Q. was low late in the game for Brossart in my opinion!:confused:

Sometimes making a couple of early threes isn't the best thing in the world; after Mason hit two early long-range shots they seemed to settle for jacking up threes against Brossart's zone instead of working for good shots. Brossart outhustled and outplayed Mason County the entire first half; took nearly three quarters for the Lady Royals to start playing their game.

 

Brossart came in with a great game plan and executed it up until the last couple of minutes. Watson couldn't miss from around the free-throw line, and Henke had her way inside. I thought #22 for Brossart also played very well; didn't score a lot but worked well with Henke.

 

Lady Royals showed great heart in coming back; second game in a row they went with only six players. Congratulations to both teams; and good luck to to the Lady Royals tonight!

Does Mason Co. not have a blue uniform? Not a big deal, just a question. Not many teams wear grey/silver on the road.

yes they do but thse uniforms are fairly new and with the new khsaa rules where gray is not an acceptible home color anymore they where them on the road now

Actually the rule doesn't start until next season. And it is a national rule, not just a state rule. :thumb:

I think this was the difference in the game. In the last few minutes Brossart began jacking up three pointers that they had passed up all not long until they got a better look.

They just got some new white ones this year.. so they are wearing them at home this year and using the grey ones (which look just like the new white ones) for their away jerseys. They do have another set of blue and white jerseys though, they are older.
