Hester and Elbert both had good games, and Kohrs did what he does best. It will be interesting to see Monday night's matchup.

Everyone in the gym loved that. Im not sure but I think that if this game wasnt so close, Steiner might not have played Justin. It just seemed like he really didnt want to put him in but felt that he needed to.

 

Koors has been getting plenty of minutes through out the year and is very fun to watch. Constantly near the ball. He probably didn't want to play him because of the ankle he hurt in districts...

I agree about Elbert. He played great, with a lot of intensity. I think this was one of Hester's more lack-luster games. He just didn't seem that into it. I think the SK defense takes play off sometimes, knowing that Hurd adjusts almost every shot in the lane. This won't work if they make it to Rupp, or maybe even Monday night.

:thumb: Agreed!!! Their team defense needs to be more consistent. It's easy to take a break from time to time because of fatigue, especially when your coach believes in only man to man and no zone but counting on Hurd to get your back wont work against really good teams. Most likely you wind up getting your big man in foul trouble which they dont need. I also agree with Hester, I think he played with alot of energy which is always nice to see but it didnt seem like he was mentally there at times.
