Just a wild guess, but is it Pete Fraley?

He is the only one that I know but there may be more.

Well, since you said begins with H's, let's turn to Hop Brown. How many regional titles did the legendary Lady Comet coach win? Hint, it was more than any other coach in 16th region history.

I would say 8

I think it was 4.

I think it was 4.

This is the girls forum....so I assume that this person at least did one of the accomplishments in girls basketball?

I am not 100% certain but I believe he did officiate in the girls tournament atleast once. His coaching tenure was on the boys side.

Close but no cigar.......Warren H Cooper. Below are comments listed from his bio when he was inducted into the Dawahares/KHSAA Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.

Warren Harding Cooper - Cooper is unique in Kentucky basketball history…He played on a state championship team as he was the star of Brooksville's 1939 team, coached a team in the State Tournament with Dilce Combs High School 1954, and officiated in four State Tournaments during his 36 years as a referee…He has never lost his love for the game as he attends both boys' and girls' tournaments each year…As a player, the "Blond Bomber" earned All-Tournament honors in 1939 and 1940.

Pretty neat accomplishment IMO.......He is still attending games all over the region.

That's a good one, and yes, I saw Coach Cooper there tonight sitting with Curt Cundiff.

By the way, I have played, Coached, Umpired and broadcasted in Little League State Tournaments. Not as big a deal as Coach Cooper, but kind of neat.

OK, I think I am right with this: Name the only head coach in the 16th Region to win a district title in both boys and girls basketball
