The question should have read:

 

What coach won both a boys district and girls district as a head coach with 2 different schools (one with the boys and one with the girls)? Hint--at the time, the 2 schools were in different districts, now they are in the same district

 

George Bellamy won district titles with the Morgan Co boys and girls.

I made a mistake, I now know of 2 and maybe 3.

I didn't know Merle won a district title at Lewis Co. I didn't think he knew how to get to Ellis T. Johnson arena from Vanceburg. I always thought the ghost of Taylor Scott haunted him all his days at Lewis Co.

Merle's 1996-97 Lewis Co team won the district tournament held at East Carter. Lewis beat West 65-54, then beat Elliott Co 73-62 in the finals. East lost to Elliott in the first round 76-64. Lewis Co lost in the first round of the regional tourney 83-54 to Russell.
