March 5, 200719 yr They are down to the semi's, and with a big shocker in tow. #1 seed South Alabama lost last night in OT to #9 seed MTSU. MTSU will now play #5 seed North Texas in one semi tonight with #3 WKU playing #2 Arkansas St. in the other semi. The Sun Belt is a one-bid league, so the pressure is on to get their ticket punched. WKU advanced with a 86-81 win last night over Florida Atlantic. WKU and Arkansas St. met once this year with WKU losing by 1 in Jonesboro.
March 5, 200719 yr I watched the WKU game over an internet feed. Not a bad game but I still don't see why WKU is playing down to competition like they do. USA losing was big though as I think even though WKU lost to ASU earlier this year, WKU will probably be the favorite now.
March 6, 200719 yr Author North Texas beat Middle in the first Semi. They await either WKU or Arkansas St. in tomorrow night's finale. WKU and Ark. St. tip in 14 minutes on ESPN Pay-per-view.
March 6, 200719 yr Author The worst announcers I've ever heard on an ESPN family broadcast. The color guy used to coach ARK-LR and tells you that every other trip. Yikes.
March 6, 200719 yr Since I go to WKU and all there my 2nd favorite team and I ussually go to all the home games...
March 6, 200719 yr The worst announcers I've ever heard on an ESPN family broadcast. The color guy used to coach ARK-LR and tells you that every other trip. Yikes. Ole Wimp Sanderson will always be the plaid jacket guy from Bama to me. But he's a terrible commentator. What do you think, 200 fans there, MAYBE?
March 6, 200719 yr Author Ole Wimp Sanderson will always be the plaid jacket guy from Bama to me. But he's a terrible commentator. What do you think, 200 fans there, MAYBE? Jeez, is that Wimp? I didn't hear them introduce themselves early on -- he is horrible. The side we can't see sounds louder to me, but I'll say there are 750 -1,000 in there. Although I can't see 500 of them.
