Good come from behind win for Estill County. A hard fought game for both teams. But Estill was able to get momentum and they finished strong.

Powell led by 7 to start the 4th and by about that much with 4:00 to go. Credit estill's consistent defense and ability to make big plays down the stretch. Powell looked very tight in the entire last quarter. Congrats to the Engineers for their first 56th district title.

Powell missed some clutch freethrows down the at the wire but seemed to fall short in the end. The guards really carried Powell the game on both ends untill Estill found the way to get back in it was going to the basket. Estill ran a spread offense and attacked the basket. Good way to stop the clock and score.

Congrats Engineers and a good hard fought game by the Pirates.

Savanna Tharpe for Powell County led them throughout the game. But with a minute left in the 3rd she went to the bench and didnt return unit 5 minutes to go in the 4th. She was packing Powell throughout the game but didnt return until Estill got the lead.

First time i had ever seen a train in a gym , but tonight it was full of steam and running wide open right after the game as Estill stormed the floor after the horn sounded.CHOOOOOOOOOOO CHOOOOOOOOOOOOO:flame:

Good win for Estill, Powell led the entire game, but missed free throws and a few bad looks at the basket got Powell in a tight spot. Good win Neers, good luck to both teams at region!
