Ludlow and Dixie played about a month ago and Ludlow won 49 to 35, and had shut down Dixie's leading scorer. However for this game, I think it would be hard to shut down Dixie's leading scorer for 2 games in a row, because she is a real good player even though I can't seem to remember her name right now. This game is definitely a toss up and probably will go down to the wire. However I think Ludlow will beat Dixie for the second time this year, in a very close game this time...

Ludlow 49

Dixie 45

I think this will be a very close game. Dixie has improved greatly from the beginning of the season. They are playing true "team" ball right now. The line up has changed slightly from the last game with Ludlow and it seems to be working for them. I think their defense can definitely handle Ludlow. The team really wants this win for their seniors who have traveled quite a journey with this team. They are full of heart and determination. Ludlow is a great team and also seem to play "team" ball quite well. I think Dixie will pull it out 52 to 46.

What is the change in line up that Dixie has done. I do agree that Dixie is playing really good right now, and I think it will be a great game between Ludlow and Dixie.

Does anyone know why Dixie's frosh Bowman hasn't been playing? She was in her sweats against Villa. She used to be their first person off the bench I believe.

Frosh Bowman injured her shoulder in a game with Notre Dame. She will be having surgery on March 5th and be out 6 months. Prayers and good wishes are with her for a speedy recovery.

I probably mis-spoke on true lineup change. It is actually a role change within the starting lineup. Sorry for the confusion.

For one thing Shanease Miller is getting closer and closer to 100% after her knee surgery. She is probably only about 80% still. First time they played she could barely move on the court. She is becoming a major factor in games now which opens up Katie Mayes and Carmen Firth. Dixie now poses a few more challenges to Ludlow than before. Should be a very good game.

I am going to be bold and predict OVERTIME here!:thumb:

Well seems like most people are picking Dixie to beat Ludlow. It was the same way for the Lloyd game, so I hope its the same result this time for Ludlow, because that would mean Ludlow is the district champion!!!

Her name is Carmen Firth, headed to Midway College. Ludlow will not contain her this time as she has something to prove since they did shut her down last game, just hope she doesn't try to do too much.

I will take Dixie on their strength of schedule in a close one.

Game day, I am with you on this one. They are playing well, and they are prepared by playing a tough schedule.:thumb:

Dixie has played the better schedule but was over-matched early on with that schedule. They have been playing much better as the regular season came to a close.

Ludlow has been up and down against some of its better competition (Lloyd, Villa, Dixie, Bellevue) but is certainly capable of winning this one.

District championships IMO really don't matter (don't argue unless you want to win the district and be bounced in the first round of the region over losing in the district final and winning in the first round of the region) but I think it matters to Ludlow so I'm taking them by a slim margin.

That really dont make much sense saying you take a team because of there strength of schedule, when there strength of schedule didn't help them in the first game when they lost by double digits...However you are right though Dixie did win tonight and they won pretty convincly like Ludlow did in the first game, but I dont know the exact score so I haven't posted it yet...
