So why "10 times more"? Just maybe Dayton has turned the corner a bit. I believe they have 10+ wins this season, and I'm told 5 games lost by less than 2 points. Sounds like a gutty and scrappy greendevil team has competed well all season

Dayton plays a D-III schedule in the NKAC and also chooses it's other opponents carefully. They just lost a laugher to Lloyd in the regular season final. Highlands beat the same Lloyd team by as much as they wanted days earlier. If you're going to call me out on why Highlands would have been 20 to 30 point favs in this one, you'll have to do better than this.

In the last 30 years Highlands has been either good, very good, or great, until lately. History lesson aside, this is a very low point in that 30 year span.

 

I don't think this is necessarily true Sandman. I can remember some teams in the beginning of the 90's that weren't good! In fact, until Smith and Lorenzen came in the mid to late 90's, I believe the Birds struggled a bit during that decade.

I saw this game and it was very well played on both parts. The lead switched back and fourth all game and came down to the final seconds. The Devils had David Foster and Chris Highchew foul out in the fourth courter. This played a big role in the outcome considering they where the two top scorers for the Devils that night with 14 and 13 point

OK Sandman.....what do you want the D3 schools to schedule.....Holmes, Highlands, Boone....maybe Ryle????? Every team "chooses their other opponents carefully" Should they set up their small school that has Freshman playing varsity to lose? How about they do what intelligent schools do and prepare a schedule of similar size small schools in order that they have a chance to compete? How 'bout you give some credit where credit is due. 7 and 7 in their conference isn't bad for a program that struggled for the past 9+ years. BTW, the same size "conference schools" had several losses pinned on them by Dayton. They also lost "laughers to Boone, Conner and Campbell this year....see the connection????all larger schools:fire:
