Does anyone know who Bracken County nominated for All region?

 

I am going to assume that HOF means Hall of Fame, so does anyone know who they nominated for that?

I can name 4 or 5 people from the girls program that should be nominated as a hall of famer. Do the people nominated have to be former players..

i think in order to be a candidate for the hall of fame you had to be out of high school for at least 5 years and have to be nominated by your school. Not sure if the AD or present basketball coach has to nominate them. And also not sure how many are elected each season. You would need to find someone on the inside who could give you more info.

Three categories....Players....Coaches.....Supporters

 

Yes on out of school for 5 years.

Yes on nominated by school.

Yes on nominated by Head Varsity coach

 

Have to receive 50% of the vote to be elected.

Coaches vote on 5 players, 2 coaches and 2 supporters.

 

There have been years all of the players received 50% of the vote and were elected.

I believe that Bracken Co. declined to nominate anyone on either list.

I don't know why, but that is what I heard.

One issue is the record-keeping of coaches before the present coach. You can't just turn in a name. You need something statistically, honors, awards, to back up the nomination. And some schools have very little of this and can't support the nomination of some players with proof that they are deserving.

When is Bracken going to nominate Mark Tucker and Adam Reed? Those guys were essential leaders for two regional championship teams. That's huge for the school.
