That's my point exactly. I think he has a chance but to call him a "great coach" after 1 3/4 years is a bit, no a lot, of an exageration. Now don't get me wrong. I am a huge supporter of Conway. Its just that your standards of great and mine are light years apart.

Get it right. Checked the KHSAA scoreboard. Harlan has won the last five meetings and last 6 out of 8.

While both have had their streaks, I do not think it is fair to say that either team owns the other through the years. If you had said that Harlan has owned Middlesboro as of recently I wouldn't have had a problem but as these numbers show, Harlan obviously didn't own Middlesboro from 2000 to 2004.

I should have said Harlan had owned Middlesboro the last three years. It seemed longer.

Siedel is not only a great kid and good ball player, but he is only a sophomore!

 

As far as Jim Conway, North has to hold onto this guy. He is an excellent coach who will build a solid program if some will just leave him alone and let him do his job. We tend to interject politics in this county where they really don't belong. He cares about the kids and is a true teacher in every sense of the word. He HAS to stay.

Conway is a good young coach that if given the opportunity and continues to learn could develop into an excellent coach.
