Somerset 55 McCreary Co. 43

Featured Replies

Yes, McCreary led by double-digits. They led by eleven in the second quarter.

If McCreary would have played their game in the second half, it would have been a blow out. Somerset got hot from the outside in the second half and McCreary turned it over. McCreary beat Somerset in every aspect of this game until the 4th quarter.

IF, IF, IF IF, ...so what if McCreary Central outplayed Somerset until the fourth quarter, so the Jumpers just had to play one good quarter (the fourth) to pick up the win? Man, imagine just how much Somerset could have won by if THE JUMPERS played an entire four quarters!

Good point my friend! :ylsuper:

HAHA..Who cares about the student section? I care more about the scoreboard! Which i believe had SOMERSET winning by double digits...

If MC out played SHS in every aspectof the game, why did Somerset outrebound them, turn the ball over fewer times, have more assist and shoot a higher field goal percentage? Interesting..

Good point my friend ...:thumb:

How 'bout that student section? I didn't hear much from you guys last night. :jump:

Thats cause I wasn't there!

I guess making Somerset 12-12 is a big point. How many turnovers did McCreary have in the 4th quarter? I thought McCreary didn't lead by double-digits... check your scorebook again - they led by 11. I don't know what the big deal about it is. Somerset didn't win this game, McCreary lost this game - end of story.

on by if THE JUMPERS played an entire four quarters!

Les... IF, IF, IF.

That's what I'm saying if... if... if...

It looks to me that Somerset won. Like I said before, It goes down as a L for McCreary and a W for Somerset ... doesn't matter if McCreary played great for 3 quarters and didn't for one. That's why they play four quarters not three.

The end of the story IS SOMERSET 55, MCCREARY 43 - A DOUBLE DIGIT WIN BY DA JUMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Les.. you're ridiculous. I know what the score was. I know that McCreary Central stands at 18-7 and Somerset at 12-12. If you read my original game post, I clearly stated that McCreary broke down. It's not like I am trying to make something it's not. McCreary is a better team than Somerset and would beat them 7 out of 10 times. Oh, so Somerset won this game, does that mean that Somerset is better? No. If that was the case, that would mean that the 4-17 Rockcastle Rockets are better than the Jumpers, and they clearly are not. Oh, by the way, those Jumpers of the "Thacker Backers" beat McCreary without their leading rebounder and second leading scorer, Josh Phillips.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS - Somerset won and McCreary lost ... You can say this, that or whatever about not having someone in the lineup ...your other kids step up and win the gme ... that's what good teams do ... for example - Bell County lost Ryan Whitaker to an injury against Knox Central, but still won.

And, as I said before, IT GOES DOWN AS A W FOR THE THACKER BACKERS AND A LOSS FOR MCREARY.:fight: :fight: :fight: :fight:

So why did everyone make excuses for Lincoln County whenever McCreary went there and won, but they were down a player?

Les, I know who won the game, but for your sake, can you please tell me that the Thacker Backers won, just one more time?

I didn't make any excuses - heck, a win is a win, and going to Lincoln and winning is no easy task. Anyway, good win for the Thacker Backers.

The Raiders did beat Lincoln, but they were 2 starters short not one. Ryan Young starting point guard and Noah Keaton starting shooting guard. Lincoln has everybody back now.

Somerset won the game McCreary lost...thats the real end of the story...Just bc ur team loses to a better team doesnt mean you have to make excuses... Somerset wasnt making excuses when they lost Cole with an ankle...Loss is a loss a win is a win and thats all that matters....I read the box score and i dont believe it had "Excuses why McCreary lost"... just take the loss

Pride, this conversation was already over. Somerset won, I think I've been told that plenty enough times. I guess you're still excited about moving back to .500, while we are comfortably eleven games above that.

Regular season records won't win the tourney for you! They are practically pointless except for seeding purposes.

And the way it looks, seeding hasn't went well for Somerset the last few years. When was the last time they made it to the region tournament?
