Southern does a deep pass that falls incomplete but the Ads are flagged for pass interference. So that will move the ball 15 yards into Admiral territory.

Southern's first two plays go nowhere, resulting in a Danville timeout to try to get the ball back as a little over 2:00 remains in the quarter.

Southern's QB is sacked by Danville's Jeremy Moore (junior), creating a long 4th down and Southern is lining up to punt but has to take timeout as they cannot get in position in time.

Southern has a bad snap on the punt but still manages to get the punt to the Admiral 35.

Cruver throws a screen pass to Mylan Peters with 43 seconds to go. Gain is not mentioned by the radio team.

Ads then try a longer pass to Peters but they cannot get a completion. It is getting irritating listening to the radio broadcast as they keep saying there's a certain amount of time and changing their mind about it.

Cruver throws a deep pass to Jutayvion Beasley (senior) but that falls incomplete as well with 26 seconds to play.

Sellers punts the ball for Danville and has to run with it after a bad snap nearly goes over his head. He manages to turn it into a 50-yard run, though, and gets a first down with his legs with 10 seconds to play in the half and Danville takes timeout. Ball is at the Southern 40.

Cruver throws to Gavin Baker (senior) for 9 yards. Baker goes out of bounds with 4.4 seconds left in the half.

Cruver throws a hail mary to the end zone but it falls incomplete.

The Southern PA announcer seems to be giving them "the business" as they walk off the field, which is wild to hear on the Danville radio broadcast.

Ha, Southern PA apologizes to fans/the team for throwing shade before the half. Still WILD to me that a PA announcer is providing opinions over the loudspeakers. I'm sure that goes against some KHSAA guidelines.

Anyway, we're off to the second half and Danville is kicking off. Southern takes it for a decent return that nearly breaks away but they are flagged for holding so the ball is brought back to their own 33.

Southern's first play is a run that goes for two yards.

Second play is a pass attempt that is a jump ball and the Ads nearly pick it off.

On 3rd and 8, Southern tries another deep pass but the Ads break it up when the ball stays in the air too long.

Southern punts on 4th down and the ball stops at the Ads 28.

On 3rd and 5 the Ads gives the ball to Meaux on a draw and Meaux takes it to the Southern 12 for a first down.

Southern takes the kickoff to their own 22. Facemask is called against the Admirals, so that moves the ball to the Southern 37.

Southern runs it on first down, carrying it for two yards.

2nd and 8 sees Danville get another sack, this time it is Brady Edwards (junior) that gets to the quarterback.

That creates a 3rd and 15. But it goes back five more yards when Southern is flagged for a delay of game. Southern goes to throw but Daniel McCane (sophomore) intercepts it. Ads will have the ball at their own 40.

On 1st down, Sellers takes the ball for no gain.

On 2nd down and 10 the Ads go into the shotgun, Cruver rolls right, and fires downfield but it is incomplete. Southern comes close to picking it off.

The 3rd and 10 call is a pass and Cruver throws to Baker for the first down. That moves the ball to the Southern 24.

Southern fumbles the handoff on first down so they have to fall on the ball, causing the loss of a yard.

2nd and 11 with about 2:23 to go in the third quarter. Southern throws into the flat, which goes for 6 yards.

Facing 3rd and 5, Southern does a QB keeper and that is enough to move the chains.

Southern takes their first timeout of the half.
