Defense was definitely optional in this one.

Apollo turns it over 4 times? and scores 41 points. Is it me or is there any defense this year. Catholic and Apollo won't beat Owensboro. We will stop both teams. Not saying we will shut them out, but they will have a tough time and defensively they will both get scored on. I think OHS beats Catholic by 14 and Apollo by 28.

I wasn't surprised this game was high scoring but 104 points is concerning. We all know Apollo can't stop anyone but if you are the Aces and you want to be considered one of the best in your class then you can't rely on your offense carrying you all year. The defense will have to show up and make some stops.

You are absolutely correct and when you lose 8 starters to graduation, 7 that started since their sophomore year, then that is a very big concern.

Beating Apollo is nothing. They aren't good. Beating OHS, now you're good.

Offensively Apollo is a really good team and will do well against other 5A teams.

Yeah I was in doubt of Apollo at first, but they are actually pretty good. Just need to tighten up the defense a bit. 3 games into the season and nobody has stopped the Eagles offense yet.. As far as O'Cath and OHS that will be a good battle. Nobody has been able to stop O'Cath offense either. Boyle just out paced the Aces. Looks like the Devils will have to do the same.

If I'm the Aces I'd be a little worried throwing it around so much vs the Devils w/o a run game for the Devils to respect. Recipe for INT's.

Wowww 41 points on just 196 yards of total offense is crazy. The game wasn't nearly as close as the score would indicate.

OC will have to be balanced to keep the devils honest. This Friday will be a good 1. Can't even remember the last time the Devils beat the Aces at Steele Stadium.

The other team had 41 points and only 196 yards of offense? Milburn and Johnson had 200 yards rushing themselves.
