That made me laugh, Ru. It was good to see you. I believe this year will be a test of the character and perseverance of players and the skill of the coaching staff. The Raiders certainly did not look

That ends the second quarter. Covington Catholic leads Ryle 28-6 at halftime in Union.

Jude Shields on the carry, he gains 3, but Cov Cath turns over on downs.

1st and 10 Raiders on their own 40 yard line. Starters still in for Ryle.

Ryle's RB fumbles and it's recovered by Donovan Eviston for the Colonels.

1st and 10 Cov Cath on their own 49 yard line.

Looks like Ryle has in some backups now.

Yeah so no one was “absolutely moaned” or made a bone headed play. The commentary in this thread is weird. Your avatar makes sense though. Perhaps mention Ryle in a positive manner as well? They’re also high school kids.

I assume you are referencing my commentary. I am very confused with yours.

I 100% recognize that the players at the high school level are only kids. I wish nothing but the best for Ryle, and all of its players on a great and injury free season.

"That was still a nice punt even though they ran into him. Big bone headed play by the Raiders."

I call it what it is. Running into a punter or kicker, at ANY level of organized football is a bone headed mistake, period. It gives the opposing team a new set of downs. If the team in white tonight committed that same penalty, I would have said the same thing. I can promise you that the coaches said a few more choice words than what I said when that penalty ensued.

"A total shalacking. The Raiders are this down this year?"

Again, I am calling what I see. I actually mispelled the word.

A total shellacking (often spelled or misheard as shlacking) means a complete, crushing defeat or a severe beating.

Sports: Losing a game by a massive, humiliating margin (e.g., "Our team took a total shellacking on Saturday").

The final score was a thorough beat down, was it not? You have thoroughly beat us in other matchups in the past. I am not sure why you are so upset to be honest.
