What was that called... snug tie? That white band around the top. 

Wish I had a pair of these!

Had to do some googling there, but yep, that was a Riddell product, the Riddell Snug-Tie.

    They were Spot-Bilt turf shoes during my football career...even though the one and only game I ever played on turf over the course of a decade was the '97 state championship, just about every coach I had wore Spot-Bilts with turf-cleat soles.

    I was wearing black Spotbilt shoes to officiate. Worked on turf or grass.
