It's a military term and the team runs the wing t. So "Fear the Wing"

I’ve lived in Barren Co all my life and I’ve never seen them called the Purple Colonels.

I don't like it.  The powers that be are mixing the military, death, and alcohol with high school football.  

It is not "alcohol" it is drink the wing t kool aid.
