What happened to Nathan Sutton after just one season? Is he done coaching and going back into officiating or just stepping away from it all?

I don't know Coach Sutton personally, but from what I've been told, Coach Sutton was just making a personal choice in being able to spend more time with family. He stepped up last year to fill the role when they had trouble finding the replacement. The man bleeds green for GC and filled in when he had to, but didn't want to do it long-term. At least that's the info I was told.

Any likely candidates for this role? Or will they look "outside" (outside the region)?

This is an interesting opening seems fairly similar to Montgomery County despite the occasional winning season. Since Harold Tackett's departure in 2017-18 they have burned through the coaches. Robert Amis, Steve Barker, Corey Allison and Nathan Sutton best of luck to GC in finding a new coach hopefully they can find a stabilizing force.

I have heard a name of a former 16th region player from the 64th district that applied, would be a first time head coach I believe. But was a really good player maybe 20-22 years ago. I also heard that former Coach Allison might be applying, as well as some of the existing Greenup Co staff or the girls coach Ruggles.

I am hearing interviews were held this week or next week (not sure which) for at least the top 3 candidates.

I am expecting D'Artagnan to arrive sometime in the middle of next week based on my sources.
