Cole's FG% is well down into the 30 range. He dribbles entirely too much and stagnates the whole offense. When he tries to dribble through the defense he and Price simply take bad shots and they ignore Bourne. You are not making good sense, I don't care if Bourne is a post player and his higher FG % is to be expected, if he shoots 60% and the guards shoot 40% or less who should be taking the shots? How many times have you seen the defense stone Bourne this year? That's what I thought, the coaching staff is completely responsible for the offense not running through him. Its almost as though Cole has to prove that he is the man in basketball as well as football. The fact is the team played better when he was hurt and/or out of town.

 

Like i just said i agreed with you about how Bourne needed to get more shots.. I wasnt disagreeing what so ever.. I was just meaning as a post player, the shots usually tend to be closer to the basket.. But i dont really think 45% is a bad field goal percentage, but i also dont know what Cole is shooting for the year..

I want to say Somerset. They are a good team that has shown they can play with the best in the region. The key word being CAN PLAY! They don't winthey just play the teams close. I want to say Somerset because what there capable of but seeing them in close games this year it hasn't turned out to good. McCreary Central by 3.

While we are in the mood to talk about FG percentages... Aaron Watts of McCreary shoots 49% from the three and over 50% total. Thought that would be a little information that would make for a good conversation with Bourne and Cole.

I dont think Somerset has the athletism to play an up tempo style of play this year. I think the 2-3 is his best defense. True Adkins is a good coach, but Thacker can coach with the best of them. Down the stretch players have to step up and make plays and in those losses his players haven't made the key plays.

My prediction is Somersets get production from players who rarely produce or a big shot or two from players you do not expect it from and does just enough to scratch out a win.
