He was released by Dallas last month, so I'm guessing there was no one burning up his phone for a look.

Once he got benched in Dallas he was done.

I know the coach Taylor and the Bengals coaches seem to get some fans mad over the years, when they have benched popular former Bengal players. However, this is another example of the Zac Taylor and coaches not letting relationships get in the way of making decisions that are best for the team. Such as benching a Carlos Dunlap, Andy Dalton, Logan Wilson. All were popular places and at one time very productive However, in each of these cases I think Zac Taylor and coaches have shown to be right to bench them. It now makes sense for why the Bengals coaches benched Logan, and were willing to go with rookies who weren't ready at LB. As apparently Logan Wilson simply didn't have it anymore, as even Dallas didn't play him much last year after trading for him. 

So the Bengals coaches have been very good at not being afraid to move on from players who are on the decline.

That's really a Cincinnati sports fan issue.  If they like you, you being shipped off or let go is an issue.  They benchmark for that was Todd Frazier.  All he ever really did in Cincinnati that was noteworthy was win a meaningless HR Derby when the All-Star game was at BGP.  But when the Reds shipped him off the the White Sox, Cincinnati fans freaked out.  Likeability is more important that numbers in this town, for some reason.

Great point and maybe it is because “team success” is so rare that we seek lesser accomplishments to find happiness.
