Trinity’s schedule is getting a minor face-lift, swapping out PRP, Frederick Douglass, and Carmel (IN) for three new schools, including Christian Brothers College out of St. Louis, Missouri.

A glance at their recent success shows a worthy adversary for the thirty (30!!!) time Kentucky state champion.

The Cadets have won 87% of their games over the last fifteen years and five state championships in the last twelve. Coach Scott Pingel has a career record of 143-27 at CBC.

They're a bit of a mystery for 2026, as not much is known regarding what they return next season. From what I gather, the Cadets must replace their quarterback and entire offensive line.

Is CBC a threat to the Shamrocks or merely well dressed fodder for what should be another loaded Trinity squad?

From another thread:

The CBC Cadets football team has state titles from 2014, 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022. They compete in MSHSAA's Class 6 (large school).

CBC's athletics page for football currently only has the Trinity game shown on their 2026 calendar, but the MHSAA's website is currently showing this for CBC's 2026 football schedule:

Aug 28 vs. Trinity (KY) 7:00 pm
Sep 4 vs. St. Louis University High 6:00 pm
Sep 11 at De Smet Jesuit 6:00 pm
Sep 18 at Vianney 6:00 pm
Sep 25 at Lipscomb Academy (TN) 7:00 pm
Oct 2 vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (GA) 6:00 pm
Oct 9 vs. Chaminade College Prep 6:00 pm
Oct 16 at Cardinal Ritter 7:00 pm

Still only 8 regular season games showing up on the CBC athletics page. I'm guessing at this point that's the final look for the schedule.

Good news for Trinity fans who don't care to make the 4-1/2 hour drive each way for the game on August 28th, the Christian Brothers "Cadet Student Network" on YouTube puts out an extremely well-done broadcast of their games. They have playlists of the previous two seasons of Cadets football on there, for anyone interested.
