Colonels (16-7) host Lloyd for a 34th District game Thursday; visit Cov Cath Friday.

Lowe had a 4 point play with about 2 minutes left to cut the lead to 2.  Petty went to the line with .03 left on the clock of a tied game for 2, missed the first, hit the second one for the win.

Couple interesting calls/no calls late hurt the Colonels, but not as bad as the missed bunnies throughout the game.  Dixie had the ball with under a minute left with the lead.  Newport is looking to foul.  They tackle Hunter Seng away from the ball for what should have been an intentional foul, but they're just assessed a common foul.  With the game tied, Dixie's coach Code is calling for a timeout as soon as Dixie crosses half court.  Collins gets trapped in the corner, Code still yelling for a timeout next to the official, Collins goes to pivot and rolls his ankle and travels.  Newport is given the ball for the final possession.

Lowe was the difference maker for Newport tonight.
