South Oldham 97 Ballard 80

Featured Replies

South Oldham with a stunner. One day removed from Ballard taking down St X.

Heck of a game.  I believe they were tied at the end of first quarter, Ballard was up 4 at the half, South was up 4 at the end three quarters.  Then South went on a three spree, game over.

Both teams shot lights out for three quarters.

Great win for the Dragons!! They are capable!

Yes they are, I had them as dead last week after the whipping N. Oldham gave them, but they are still very much alive and well.

I watched every second of this game and it was an impressive showing. They are undersized but they competed on every play. Offensively they move the ball better than any team I have watched all season.  Colton W got hot in the second half.  Even though Ballard was emotional drained after the St X game it was still an unbelievable showing by the Dragons.

The ball went in the rim. North will still be clear favorites.

Yes without a doubt North is the favorite.

North may be the favorite, but certainly not the clear favorite.  South and Woodford can upset the apple cart.

On a side note, I know Big Mason is just a Freshman and will vastly improve.   But after reading some of the articles on him I was somewhat disappointed seeing him for the first time.

Respectfully, North is the clear favorite.

They haven’t had a close region fam, embarrassed South, and they didn’t get a single clean look all night. Beat Seneca last night without arguably their (Norths) best player.. it’ll take a huge letdown to beat them.

South would have beaten North yesterday, we'll see how it plays out.

North didn’t have literally their best player… they were playing guys who had hardly played all year… and still beat a solid Seneca team.

If you would have saw him versus CAL or St X you would think differently.  The South game was just not a good match up for him.  South playing different types of zone and pushing him away from the basket. Also he had to guard some guards a lot on switches. He definitely had an off game, too. However, Auburn and Indiana was at his game the night before so he is kinda, sorta good lol.

I'm certainly not trashing the kid, easy to see he has a bright future.  Totally agree it's hard to play against kids half you size.  Trust me, I'll see more of him down the road.  Ballard also has a couple  other underclassmen who will be heard from.
