Looks like the job was posted last Thursday, December 11th.

Coach Paul Mandeville was the Dragons head coach for three seasons, and led the football team through some really difficult times at Doss. He's a top-notch guy, and I've got to wonder if we may not see him showing up as head coach at another of the area schools. I personally think he'd be a good fit at PRP.

Doss is the 8th JCPS job to come open this off-season, and the 9th job in Louisville.

1.) Central
2.) Doss
3.) Jeffersontown
4.) Male
5.) Moore
6.) Pleasure Ridge Park
7.) St. Xavier
8.) Valley
9.) Waggener

Does anyone know if the JCPS central office, or the JCPS District A.D., gets involved in the hiring decisions for these head coaches, or, is it solely up to the respective school Principal and school A.D.?

Paul is a good guy, and Doss is a tough job. I agree, I can see him going to another school and finding some success for himself and that program.

From the sound of things, Coach Mandeville was let go by Doss. Thst definitely seems short-sighted.

New AD decision I would guess coming in cleaning house, that would be the former J-Town HC Donte Ellison. Does seem a bit of a surprise though - a winless season may lead to things like that though. Very tough program to go into though and besides last year he seemed to have some good momentum with things.

Read on Facebook (for what that's worth), that they are making all coaches in the district reapply. Seems silly.
