WOW! What a turnaround.....Franklin won by 53 back in early January. Congratulations Coach Welch! :thumb:

Wow! What a change from the last time they played. Anybody got the details?

Did Chalk and the boys come into this one a bit overconfident after putting it to WH last time???

Probably some truth to this statement. Combine that with the fact that WH was motivated by the embarassing 53 point loss last outing, and you have the recipe for one team wanting it alot more than the other.

FC was in the game with over two minutes (2 possession game) to play when #3 appeared to invite a technical foul by mouthing to one of the refs. This was followed by the coach erupting on the sideline. Although his frustration was with the player not the ref, the ref obviously perceived it differently as he assessed a second technical on Chalk. WH shot two free throws for a personal foul and 4 for the two T's.

My point here is that I have never seen a technical foul that was a good one. These days refs will not tolerate players and coaches showing them up. This is as it should be, and FC needs to recognize it. This is the second time this year that FC has drawn T's at inopportune times, that took away their chance to win.

I suggest the FC Coach and players wise up and recognize that cool heads always prevail!!!!!!!!

The main difference was that WH handled Franklin County's pressure this time and came to play. Overconfidence may have played a role as well. Should be an interesting district tournament.

FC doesn't ever just get one technical they seem to come in 2's or three's. Maybe a good old loss will wake them up a little.

I don't know that I agree that WH handled FC's pressure. FC really didn't have any pressure. The seemed really flat and lacked intensity on Defense. Overconfidence and the fact they hadn't play since January 26th may played a big role. I still think FC wins the district and will have a good showing in the 11th regional tourney as well. This game may serve as a wake-up call for the stretch run. Only time will tell.

Good Luck to both in the postseason!
