I think he's gone, but I think it will either be of his own choosing or allowed to look that way. His brother retired at an early age, wouldn't shock me if Mark just decided this wasn't a fight that he wanted to keep fighting and retired. I think it's more likely that he sees the writing on the wall and offers to rework his buyout (spread it out) and be allowed to leave on his "own" terms with an agreed settlement and not an outright firing.

I think he'd be a fool to walk away from $30+ million, and that's why I don't believe he will. 

That's also the reason UK won't fire him.

There's a chance there's a separation, sure. That would include some sort of deal between Stoops and UK to mitigate the cost. 

UK absolutely will not outright fire him.
