Zornes and Ward each have a few regional titles.

How about Bob Wright of Ashland who also coached at Lewis County?

 

 

He is up there as well. The 16th has been blessed in the past and also here in the now by a great talent pool of both players and coaches.

 

Rex Cooksey is one of my favorites just because he is so fun to watch, he is a good coach as well but cracks me up watching...he is the energizer rabbit, never quits pacing and talking.

Dont know the count for sure but Zornes has 4-5 regional titles.

I remember Charlie and His brother bringing Brandon to the old Russell YMCA and sitting him on that stage, he was only 8 or 9. and Brandon watching all of us play ball in that cracker barrel gym (4 on 4) but the talent that came through that gym was unbelievable back in the late 70's and early 80's. Everyone knew Brandon would do a good job as a coach. The old Russell Y, now that would a good thread to start.

It would've been interesting to see what Tim Moore could've done had he stayed in coaching at Rowan County. The three years he coached Rowan, he won regional championships all three years. He left to become Superintendent at Mason County. A few years later, he hired his #2 guard from Rowan to coach Mason Co...Kelly Wells.

As for Mike Flynn, I believe he left Ashland with the most wins and longest tenure. With how much pressure and scrutiny that comes with coaching at Ashland, I believe this puts him up there in the 16th. Also, during his time here I believe that Zornes was the only one else to win multiple championships.
