I agree they are a tight group of players but you must rember that alot of other girls at other schools continue to work on there game, as well i believe that there are a few of the girls you mentioned who as well work on there game out of the gym and thats what it takes you have to want to get better and do the things to make yourself better when you are not in the gym practice during the year isnt going to make anyone better its what you do in the off season that make you the player you are.

I agree 100% Countryboy. For true ballplayers the work begins long before the first practice. Weights in the offseason as well as conditioning. You can't wait till practice begins to get in shape. After the season starts is where you'll see the true students of the game. There is pretty much a game somewhere every night of the week. And if you don't have a game there is not a better opprotunity to learn than to visit a gym somewhere.

:thumb: agre 100% but remember during the off season working on your game is a must and i know BCHS has a few of them and that is truly the only way to get better

Will that be the year we make a run?

Your starting a cross-country team?:D :sssh: ;)

LadyBearMom it seems to me that you have a misunderstanding of high school girls basketball.. You need to remember that Playing time is EARNED, but not GUARANTEED...

I am sure the coaches play who they feel gives them the best chance to win..

And earned in practice that not a single parent or fan is witness to. Do you reward a girl with playing time if she doesn't work hard in practice?

I had a situation once that a parent was unhappy with their daughter's PT. We decided to take a group of players to a league and play in it. I let the parent's watch practice if they wished for this. After two practices, the father told the daughter in my presence, "No wonder you don't get any playing time you are way lazy in practice. I wouldn't play you little as much as you play hard and hustle during practice."

Needless to say, it was an eye-opener for that parent.

No I have a fine understanding... 10 losses in a row means its time for a change

So you change for the sake of change whether the other players are working hard in practice, doing what the coaches are asking of them or not?

And unless you are on the coaching staff, you are not in practice every day to know whether they are working hard in practice or not. Whether when they teach the player footwork for a move, or how to slide over for a charge and the player says they can't do it and won't, well you don't know those things as a fan.

And the child is not going to be upfront with that. They are not going to go out of the gym and tell their family, "well the coach asks me to block out and I just don't do it." No, they leave and say, "I don't like the coach."

Am I commenting directly on the BCHS situation. No, cause I am not in the gym, but I have enough confidence in Coach Kelsch's judgement and ability that if he supports what is going on, I am right there with him.

I would take him on my staff anyday of the week and twice on Saturday as well as letting him coach my child.

very good bricklayer.. Ive had the opportunity to see this young lady play and boy is she a dandy...

If I am not mistaken her older sister was pretty good too!

Yes her sister Whitney Lee was a dandy playing under the basket. She was one of the key players as a junior when Montgomery Co. fell to E-town in the state championship. This was all after Beth Vice had the season ending knee injury.

very well written LBBC and sounds like U Reach I Teach and yourself agree on something I may play the lottery tonight LOL

So i guess this new coaching staff has taken Brackens Program downhill im not sure i agree with that 2 winning seasons in 8 years doesn't sound like things were any better before maybe you should just believe things will get better afterall this is a pretty young team. And have really been in just about every game this year with the exception of a few IM not sure but i dont think that things are as bad as you might make them out to be.

You can add up the wins from the this year and Last and not get some season totals countryboy... The only thing going ni our favor right now is our very week schedule. If we dont get 10 wins this season it will be very disappointing

Michelle Smith from Deming has a nice shot from long distance

If you add up this year and last i believe that gives us 12 that would only be 1 shy of the most wins in 9 years so maybe since you been around a long time you should really look at the numbers before you constintly degrade the program and the Coaching Staff. seems a little classless. And with our schedule so weak we have to play 2 teams who have already beat the Lady Bears . Good Luck Lady BEars Finish Strong .
