I am a big technology guy and always have the latest Apple products.  iOS 26 is coming out and the first major redesign of how your iPhone software will look in over a decade.  The new concept is “Liquid Glass” which makes everything glass-like and transparent.  Launch is in Sept

- Minimal and simplified camera and photos app

- Change iMessage backgrounds, group text read receipts and typing indicators, spam text filtering

- Call screening from unknown numbers and potential spam.  If sent to voicemail, your phone will ask who they are and why they are calling.

- If you make a phone call and you're stuck on hold waiting to speak to a person, you can activate Hold Assist. Your iPhone can wait for you while you do other things, and then let you know when a live agent is on the line. The agent is informed that you'll be on the call in just a moment. 

- Music has new song transition options and you can now pin your top albums and playlists

Downloaded this update and I really like it. The liquid glass is a good look and sleek to me.

In the interest of time (and frankly being lazy to learn something new), I installed iOS 18.7 instead.  I eventually want to get to iOS 26.  Are there any known "big bugs" which would make one wait for a minor upgrade to a iOS 26.1, for instance?

I have the iPhone 16 Pro, and even I have noticed things lagging, overall slower performance, and quicker battery drainage. Hopefully will be smoothed out soon.

Yeah, that is something to consider.  I have the iPhone 15 (not a Pro).
