13th Region Off-Season Discussion (2025-2026)

Featured Replies

We are coming off a season which saw the dark horse, North Laurel, get hot at the right time and reel off three straight to win the region, then a win over Breathitt to advance to the elite 8. This marked their third region title in the last four years. They only graduate one senior, and return one of the states best players in Reece Davidson to lead the way. They would probably be the prohibitive favorite right now.

Bell County graduates zero, so they will be right there in the thick of it as well. They had a great season but fizzled towards the end of the season.

Corbin has a great young back court, and should be extremely talented and ready to make a run at it.

How are we feeling about the 13th next year?

2028 6'3" Guard Ryder Akins has transferred from Corbin to GRC.

Grayson Burton who averaged 21 and 6 for Knox Central as a freshman has enrolled at Madison Central.

Two pretty big losses for the 13th region.

Corbin also lost the Farmer kid (the other lefty Freshman) that started last season to LCA earlier in the summer.  The Hounds have taken a lot of hits.
