How will this district look?

Somerset on top with Monroe and Green battling for 2/3 and then metcalfe/clinton battling for a long bus ride to Lexington? or is there something I am missing?

I think it depends, Green, Metcalfe and Monroe have all had good enough teams in the past to compete with Somerset’s team last year. The question is do any of those three teams have a lot coming back I’m not sure but I do know Glasgow had a lot more trouble with Monroe than they did with Somerset last year. My guess is Somerset will be the best team in the district but I don’t think they will be good enough to assume no other team can compete with them.

From what I understand this should be the best Monroe team in several years.

Monroe County will be very good next season, and will compete with Somerset... Their always going to play hard and their well coached... If they can stay healthy, I could see a really impressive run into the playoffs for the Falcons...

I agree with you TKinslow, The Monroe/Glasgow game was at home and coach Petitt really did a good job of grinding the game down with a plethora of first downs and chewing the clock, plus I think the Glasgow game means a lot to MonRoe. The Somerset game vs Glasgow was plagued by Somerset turnovers including a pick 6 in the first quarter and a bad snap on a punt later in the game. I just had to assume Somerset would be the favorite after going deep into the 2A playoffs the last couple years with Coach Clevenger.

I'll be interested to see how the Falcons opener works out with Warren Central.  Central moves back down to 5A this year and interested to see how both teams fare in this one.

I hope you’re right Monroe has to much tradition to be as poor as they have been the past 4-5 years.
