Adair, Ashland, and South Oldham through the first three rounds...  if the Purples happen to get by S.O they will likely see Great Crossing or Cooper. Several different rankings out there with where these teams fall so I suppose it's up to the eye of the beholder... BUT 

This is a very testing and daunting stretch of games IMO. Has to be tiring. I'm sure there have been tougher stretches in previous state tournaments, but this would be quite validating if they were to make it to the championship game. Ice down and get some rest, going to be another one of those games tomorrow I'd say.

Purples!!! Shades of the 2014 squad with this group. Not supposed to be here, but relishing the moment. Always a special year if you make it to Saturday in Lexington.

Nicely said, and to have to win back to back games in overtime like that against proven opponents shows the level of grit this team has. It will be an exciting game against South Oldham. I almost want to ice down and get some rest after just thinking about having to play two games in one day in that gauntlet of opponents. 

Bowling Green is so balanced and that is another thing I will add to what I noted from today's game. They can come at you from a lot of angles and it's hard to defend. Ashland had a good strategy, I thought, going against the Purples trying to seal off the three. It's hard to tell what would be the best approach, from an opposing perspective. If you try to stop the drive or go to a zone, Idlett can get loose with his near-60% shooting from downtown. If you try to defend them by cutting off the three, they have the quickness to beat almost anybody off the dribble and as a defense, you almost have to take your chances on something. They have a football-type physicality defensively and definitely can push their opponents back into setting their offense. After seeing the official numbers, Ashland had 14 turnovers. I am unsure if Ashland had a game this season where they had more - with the way this group has controlled the ball this season, I doubt it. Will be interesting to see what the rest of this tournament has in store. So far, it has been absolutely wild with so many tight games!

The late, great Jared Lorenzon and his running mate Derek Smith are the comparison that comes to mind.  

Deuce has been incredible when the pressure moments require execution.  Winners win....   The other Final Four hoops teams at BG have had other 2 sport stars as well.  2014- Nacarius Fant scored 30+ vs Cov Cath in the state tourney, was a 3-time FB state champion, and Mr. Football.  2017-  Deangleo Wilson, starting point guard on state championship team, 3-time state champion in FB, went on to be an FCS All-American WR at Austin Peay.
