True dat'! JBS really doesnt impress me as much as they do others. To me the Mason game was a fluke! What happened tonight in Irvine? I guess the Engineers were hitting?? Or did the refs not hurt them any? haha.

no just a good game Lee was a little flat, Berryman was on fire. We got 6 or 7 point lead with under a minute and just shot FTs and they hit a couple of wild threes but we always had the lead over three so it was always a two posseion game. They hit a three with 3 seconds left and all we had to do was get it in. We threw long to Fetters and he passed to twin and we held the ball for the win. Refs were fine and Estill played hard. Hard to get a win in Irvine

Owsley is home for the tournament. Powell and estill will be Physical and a hard fought game. If all goes to plan Lee will face Powell for the championship should be fun

Owsley was down by only 3 at halftime last night to Powell, after leading for much of the first half. But the Pirates turned it up in the second half and won by around 20. The Owls show flashes of improvement, if only they could put it together for four quarters.

Lee needs to remember what happened to the 16th region favorite last year. Morgan Co was upset in the first round of the districts and eliminated for the year. Better be ready to play come tournament time.

To folks that that will be attending the tournament at Owsley:

 

It's our turn in the 4 year rotation.....and we're going to take our turn just like the other 3 schools......BUT....our gym only seats about 1,200. You had better get there early if you want a good parking place and seat. The early bird gets the worm in this case. Take off work a little early if you have to, but don't arrive 10 minutes before the game and then complain to the people working the parking that their's not enough parking. We have always managed to park everyone because we can use the elementary parking across the road, but it's a long walk. However, we they will have a bus there to shuttle fans to the gym. Owsley will always do their best to accomadate every fan...and we always have a great hospitality room.:thumb:

I'll second that Prof. Bball King always talks about the first class treatment that is extended to the visitors in the palace. I hope Owsley benefits greatly from Hosting. I know you all will do a fine job as always.

Lee wins the season as far as seeding for the tournament, but both teams will share a trophy as conference/district season champions. At least that's how it's been done in the past. The trophies are awarded at the pre-tournament district meeting, which will be at Natural Bridge State Park.

It has happened before. A few years ago Owsley and, I think Wolfe but it might have been Powell....not sure, tied for the season title and shared co-championship trophies.
