If the season ended today, who would be your coach of the year in the 9th? There is no absolute dominant, run-away team this year, though Cooper, CovCath and Lloyd have all sat near the top all season. Dixie has been wildly impressive, Beechwood has stunned some folks, and Holmes has started to slowly rise out of the ashes. But what coach do you think has done the best job overall so far this year in the 9th and why?

I get those giving the easy votes for Tim (Cooper) & Jake (CovCath), but the job that Sam has done at Holmes this year I don't think any of us saw coming.  He's got good numbers, kids are playing hard and they are competitive in games they haven't been in the past few years and are winning some.

I voted too early before I read the last few names. Sam Elsbernrd has my vote. The Holmes program has been down and out the last few years. Going in and rebuilding that team is something special, we should only expect it to continue growing!

Yeah, for me it’s either Sam at Holmes, Scott at Dixie or Ross Hart at Beechwood. I know it’s hard to compare the level of competition sometimes, but Jerry Miles at Heritage also deserves a shout.

The lack of votes for Ricardo Johnson is surprising to me. After Meyer was gone, the program was left in shambles. He has done a good job turning their program into a winning, respectable program. They may not be a region contender, but he has still done a good job.

They will be a contender next season and for years to come. Lots of talent from the juniors and younger grades.

I'm not sure a 16-13 record the year after would be considered in shambles. 

And I think most knew the talent that was in the current junior class would be pretty good.

I voted for Coach Sully simply because of what he’s had to endure on and off the court. Losing virtually his entire starting lineup with the exception of Andy Johnson and Jaidan Combs, key players transferring out and having to rebuild with virtually a whole new lesser experienced and very young team only to beat the top teams in NKy is impressive enough for me. 
 

If I had two votes, I’d have to give one to Coach Elsbernd. With the Bulldogs being down for so long, it truly is nice to see Holmes logging some wins and the team playing hard which I hope continues. 
 

I’d be perfectly fine with either of those two IMO.
