Boy was I off, I think it comes down to what you call a rebound. I look for the clean ones, not the ones batted around by five players and picked up off the floor.

I did not come up with that Idea just by myself. There is a thread " Rebound Stats "on this site. That’s what I kind of based some of what I consider a good rebound off of. I agree some of the batted around rebound are the hard ones to get. But running down a loose ball that no one could control on either team shows hustle but should it be a rebound?

 

I thank you for your feedback, I keep what stats I can, I have asked Coach Kelsch before about some stats and how to track them. Unlike some people out there I was not born with a basketball in my hand. I have been a fan of the game for only about four years, that was my mistake. Being a non-native Kentuckian I come from at state where Wrestling was the sport. But I love the game of basketball; my wife told me it was a requirement prior to moving here.:thumb:

 

I would not have posted any stats that I did not think was close, Shooting stats I have are correct. Assists I would not attempt to post because I know I am way off. Most players normally ask me points and rebounds. I tell them that the rebounds are low. I keep stats because I enjoy it. Coach Kelsch asks for the stats and I always tell him what is accurate and what’s not.

 

If there were someone with a clipboard and a piece of paper somewhere else keeping any kind of stats at our games I would not have to do it. 5 coaches and not a clipboard amongst them. :flame:

 

I know Coach Kelsch reviews game tapes and records stats himself. He does that because he wants them right. I have said before my stats our very un-official

How many more Owens's are there? I remember Jordan, he was a stud on a stud team, would have won the region if it weren't for us. He also an older brother (I think???) who wasn't too bad either.

Four, three of which were/are 1,000 point scorers at St. Pat: Josh, Jordan and Chris. Josh played baseball at UK and Jordan went on to play basketball at Georgetown. Their oldest brother Kirk, was a few years older than me, but I don't have any record of him playing basketball for the Saints (help me out here if anyone else knows).

I always remember competing against Jordan. I think he was one of the best athletes in that line. I'm pretty sure Chris wasn't bad either. But Jordan played on a good team. They beat us (Bishop Bossart) once at thier home court (by 2, chance to win almost went in). Then we floundered in the All "A" Tournament and they never had to face us because Nick Co. beat us. We faced them in the regional semis and beat them by 1 (because of a missed free throw).

The owens are/ were great players all but 1 of the boys played basketball and were 1000 point scorers there was also girl who was a 1000 point scorer. But there were other cousins and so on that were all great players it is one of the largest family in maysville with one of the most basketball history.
