16th Region Honorable Mention

Featured Replies

Here are some players that deserve some recognition for their continue effort on the court. Players that might not receive the recognition in the papers as others may do. Feel free to add some players.

Good Job boys keep up the good work.

Selby? Center for Boyd Co.

Billy Blanon Boyd Co.

Casey Branham Boyd Co.? (I think thats right)

Haney from Morgan Co. (I don't know his first name)

Matt Daniel Rowan Co.

Knipp Elliott Co.

The Center for Rowan Co. (sorry don't know the names)

Gill for Russell

Wilcox Ashland

Bonner Ashland

Mullins Raceland

Sparks Raceland

B.J. Parrish Greenup Co.

Justin Middleton Greenup Co.

Timmy Knipp of Elliott County has the most potential of any name here. He is a very talented 8th grader who will only get better. Right now, he can play significantly for ANY team in this region and start for most.

Keep that name in mind. He's going to be a special one.

I believe pgfromky was refering to Chris Knipp who is a very good player as is his brother Timmy.

Why is Matt Daniel's name on here? He is one of the best players in the region and gets alot of recognition?

He doesn't get the recognition he deserves in my opinion.

This was to promote players that don't get the recognition they deserve. I feel he deserves more than he is. But, I truly agree with you all the way.

I'll add Austin Blair to that list. Wilcox from Ashland is a great player who is finally healthy and he's not disappointed. He could be a major factor for the Cats if they make a run at the region.

Cameron Hall,John Gehringer(Fairview),Coleman(Ashland),Mayhew(Boyd) and the Wrights(Greenup).

Tyler Maynard from Elliott:ylsuper:

also would say Martin - RC, Hollingsworth -WC, Burge - EC

I tell you what. I feel like the 16th region is often overlooked for talent because there is a lot of mountain schools. I feel like there is about 20 kids fresh-senior who can, if they wanted to, go on and fill some college rosters be it big or little schools. I feel that there is some talent in the mountains. Congrats to all the kids in the 16th not getting props for their efforts. Keep working hard young men.
